Fish is packed with protein,nutrients. Meen kulambu/fish curry is
one of the most delicious south Indian curry cooked finding a
balance between tamarind sourness and spice from the chili to
make the fish the star of the dish.Here i have used sea
bass(koduva) from whole food.This curry can be done with fish of
your preference.

Ingredients:
- Fish 1/2 kg
- tamarind lemon size
- chili powder - 1 tbsp
- coriander powder 1.5tbsp
- garlic pods
- ginger garlic crushed
- salt to taste
- oil --3tbsp
- one small onion diced
- tomatoes 2 diced
- curry leaves
- coriander leaves to garnish
- lemon juice 2 tsp
- turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- mustard 1/2 tsp
- fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp
- red chilli 3 nos
- pepper powder 1 tbsp
- Wash and clean the fish
- marinate the fish lemon juice ,salt and turmeric powder and set aside
- In a pan add oil ,one the oil is hot add mustard seeds
- once the mustard seeds splutter add fenugreek seeds
- add diced onions and tomatoes
- fry till onion is translucent and tomato is mushy
- add red chilli and curry leave and saute for a minute
- now add garlic pods and then crushed ginger garlic
- saute for 5 minutes then add the spice powders
- chili powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder and salt to taste
- add half cup water to make sure masalas doesn't burn
- add the tamarind water and allow the curry to boil
- add pepper powder and reduce the flame to medium
- once raw smell is gone add fishes to the curry
- Donot crowd the fish and close it with lid and turn to low flame
- fish will get done in 5 to 8 minutes
- finally garnish with coriander leaves
- serve hot
