Basundi sweet

Making of Basundi (Milk sweet )


       Basundi is a milk sweet done by reducing full fat milk into quaretr adding

flavours with  cardamom,kesar,nuts(cashew,almonds,pistachios),sugar.
 
            Patience is a virtue for cooking.Especially sweets ,milk may get easily 

burnt if we are trying do it on high flame.

           I personally love the sweet. It's a heavenly tasting sweet which can be served 

hot or cold.

Ingredients:

1 litre milk ,full cream

1/4 cup sugar

2 tbsp cashew nuts

2 tbsp almonds

2 tbsp pistachios

1/4 tsp kesar

1/4 tsp cardamom powder


Method:

1. Boil the  milk in a heavy bottomed vessel.

2. Bring the milk to boil and add the nuts to the boiling milk.

3.Stir the milk often to make sure it doesn't stick to the bottom.

4.Boil the milk for nearly 30 minutes till it reduces to quarter 
   @ low flame.

5.Now add 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/4 tsp of saffron and mix well.

6.Boil for another 5 minutes till the milk reaches creamy texture .

7.Add 1/4 tsp  of elaichi powder and switch off the flame.

8.Serve the Basundi hot or  cold garnished with dry fruits.

Poori

Poori is a popular break-fast in Indian Household.  Poori is a puffed crisp bread which can be made from wheat flour Maida (All Purpose Flour).This is one of the favorite  breakfast in Indian cuisine.Let’s see how to make it . minced chicken potato peas fry

  KothuKari generally done with minced mutton(ground).Here i have used minced chicken as it  is a low fat choice along with potato and peas.It's a pepper fry and it's a delicious fry.
