Instant Rava dosa and tomato chutney

Rava dosa is a southindian break- fast recipe .There are  'N' number of varieties of dosa and definetly Rava dosa is most sorted one just like ghee roast,Masala dosa,Paper roast.This dosa requires simple preparation and we get a restaurant style rava dosa in our own kitchen.

Ingredients:


  • Rava (coarse) -1/2 cup
  • Rice flour      -1/2 cup
  • maida           -1/4cup
  • ginger           1/4 tbsp grated
  • asafoetida     1 /4 tsp 
  • onion              1(minced)
  • green chilli      2 minced
  • pepper            1/4 tbsp
  • cumin              1/4 tbsp
  • curry leaves    string of leaves
  • salt to taste
  • water               3.5 cups


Method:


  • In A bowl add all the  flour as per measurements
  • now add greenchilli ,ginger,curry leaves
  • add cumin and pepper,asafoetida
  • salt to taste
  • add minced onions
  • add 2.5 cups of water
  • whisk the mixture thoroughly without any lumps
  • now add one more cup of water and soak for 20 minutes
  • heat the dosa tawa (pan) 
  • when the tawa is hot start pouring the batter
  • fill the pan with batter like a dosa
  • every time the batter needs to be mixed thoroughly
  • keep the flame in medium and allow the dosa to  turn crisp
  • this dosa need not be flipped
  • remove the dosa from the pan once it is crispy
  • this dosa can be enjoyed with different kinds of chutney

My husband  has a sweet tooth and this sweet  is one of his favorites.So decided to prepare carrot halwa in this quarantine time.This sweet requires very simple ingredients and it’s a very simple preparation. Poori

Poori is a popular break-fast in Indian Household.  Poori is a puffed crisp bread which can be made from wheat flour Maida (All Purpose Flour).This is one of the favorite  breakfast in Indian cuisine.Let’s see how to make it . Poori Ingredients: Wheat flour 4cups Water  As needed Salt  as per taste 3 tsp oil Method : In a bowl add the flour Add salt Now add water and make it into a dough Add a 3tsp of oil in intervals and make a soft dough Cover it with wet linen cloth for 5 minutes Now roll it into small balls Using rolling pin flatten out the small dough ball Meanwhile in a deep pan heat oil to deep fry the poori’s Jus place the flatten out dough in the kadai  Make sure the oil is smoking hot Now fry golden brown fluffy poori

Fish curry/meen kulambu

Fish is packed with protein,nutrients. Meen kulambu/fish curry is  one of the most delicious south Indian curry cooked  finding a  balance between  tamarind sourness and spice from the chili to  make the fish the  star  of  the dish.Here i have used sea  bass(koduva)  from  whole  food.This curry can be done with fish of  your  preference.
