Idly Sambar

  Here iam sharing the south Indian favorite break- fast.Idly sambar is something u can find in every corner of south India.This sambar is a family recipe .My favorite childhood break-fast.It's a simple preparation but the taste is inevitable.It's made  from  toor dhal and it can be made from moong dhal too.

prep time :5 mints
cooking time 25 mints.

Ingredients:

toor dhal -1 cup
oil     -2 tbsp
mustard seeds -1 tsp
onion      -1 medium size
tomato   -1  medium size
grenn chilli-3 to 4 nos
cumin seeds -1 tsp
tamarind-half lemon size
asafoetida -pinch
turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
curry and corrainder leaves-handful


Method:
   1.steam toor dhal in presuure cooker with pinch of asafoetida and 1/4tsp of turmericpowder
   2.In a pan add a 2tbsp of oil and add mustard seeds.
   3.once the mustards splatter add  onions and tomatoes
   4.Saute for till the onions are translucent and tomatoes are mushy.
  5. add green chilli,curry leaves and saute for 3mints.
  6.Add the steamed toor dhal and add water to make it to sambar consistency.
  7.crush the cumin seeds add to the samabr.
  8.soak the tamarind in water and add the the tamarind water to the sambar .
  9.allow the sambar to boil for 5 mints.
 6.switch of the flame and add corriander leaves.
 7.serve the sambar with hot idlies with a  tsp of ghee and enjoy !

Poori

Poori is a popular break-fast in Indian Household.  Poori is a puffed crisp bread which can be made from wheat flour Maida (All Purpose Flour).This is one of the favorite  breakfast in Indian cuisine.Let’s see how to make it . Poori Ingredients: Wheat flour 4cups Water  As needed Salt  as per taste 3 tsp oil Method : In a bowl add the flour Add salt Now add water and make it into a dough Add a 3tsp of oil in intervals and make a soft dough Cover it with wet linen cloth for 5 minutes Now roll it into small balls Using rolling pin flatten out the small dough ball Meanwhile in a deep pan heat oil to deep fry the poori’s Jus place the flatten out dough in the kadai  Make sure the oil is smoking hot Now fry golden brown fluffy poori

Fish curry/meen kulambu

Fish is packed with protein,nutrients. Meen kulambu/fish curry is  one of the most delicious south Indian curry cooked  finding a  balance between  tamarind sourness and spice from the chili to  make the fish the  star  of  the dish.Here i have used sea  bass(koduva)  from  whole  food.This curry can be done with fish of  your  preference. Ingredients: Fish 1/2 kg tamarind lemon size chili powder - 1 tbsp coriander powder 1.5tbsp garlic pods ginger garlic crushed salt to taste oil --3tbsp one small onion diced tomatoes 2 diced curry leaves coriander leaves to garnish lemon juice 2 tsp turmeric powder 1/4 tsp mustard 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp red chilli    3 nos pepper powder 1 tbsp Method: Wash and clean the fish marinate the fish lemon juice ,salt and turmeric powder and set aside In a pan add oil ,one the oil is hot add mustard seeds once the mustard seeds...
